It is my desire as a positive counsellor to assist students attain their fullest potential by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, the values of stewardship, mutuality, ethics and professionalism, with the goal of developing a thoughtful responsible A-I graduates with a global focus.
There are three elements that I believe are conducive to establishing such an environment, (1) the counselor acting as a research guide, (2) allowing the student's natural curiosity to direct his/her learning, and (3) promoting respect for their environment, cultural heritage and all people.
While my role is to be a coach/ mentor, providing access to positive coaching, rather than acting as the primary source of information,I believe that the students' search for knowledge is met as they learn to find answers for themselves to their questions through transformative learning. For students to construct knowledge, they need the opportunity to discover for themselves and practice skills in authentic A-I situations

About: Never get tired of teaching this course, although I've taught it for over 25 yrs! Responsible for coordinating Bermuda real estate licencing lesson delivery, ensuring lessons are delivered within allotted time period. Preparing and delivering lesson plans according to the guidelines of the Bermuda real estate license requirements. Recording participants’ progress, assignments, projects and test results. (Part – time appointment) I earned the 10 yr. service award & was eligible for another one when I resigned to accept theOdessa College post in Texas

About: As the Assistant Professor & Programme Head; Tourism & Hospitality Management at Odessa College, Odessa, Texas I am charged with developing the AAS & BAAS degree programme. I have also been assisting with marketing the programme by speaking at various venues, service clubs & of campus events. I love what I do & like to see my students move forward into all aspects of the profession. By combining AI & THM we can take the professional development of the individual to the next level.
